ALPECIN HYBRID

Alpecin had worked with dock 10 in the past for their standard Alpecin shampoo TV ad. This time, they merely needed an update to replace the existing shampoo bottle with their new product, Alpecin Hybrid. The initial 3D product build was done using Maya and VRay and seeing as Cinema 4D is my preferred app and we had just started using the Redshift renderer we thought it would be best to proceed down this route. I took the existing model from Maya but had to remodel the cap in Cinema 4D as there had been some minor changes made to the design. I used Redshift to light the scene and matched the previous TVC. I added surface imperfections and set up various AOV’s so that when Frank James-Peterson composited it in Flame he could have total control of colours, reflections and label artwork to suit the clients requirements. Great project to work on, not overly complicated but attention to detail was key to ensuring the clients’ approval.
